How long does a perfume last?Updated 23 days ago

A perfume doesn’t go bad in the same way food does – it technically doesn’t have an expiration date, as it’s mostly made of alcohol where bacteria can’t thrive. The scent may change over time, but in general, an unopened perfume can last for several years depending on how it’s stored.

Once the bottle is opened, its longevity is affected by air, light, and heat. To preserve your fragrance for as long as possible, we recommend:

– Storing it in a cool, dark place
– Avoiding humid environments, like bathrooms
– Always replacing the cap after use

You’ll notice a perfume is getting older if the scent changes or develops a slightly sour note. But many perfumes age beautifully and can still smell wonderful – just a little different than when they were new.
